HARBOUR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

Since our founding back in 1983 we’ve ridden wave after wave of change.
Technological change from paper and wet stamps to cloud and AI. Political change through Maastricht and Brexit. Process change from ports and train ferries to Eurotunnel and IBFs.

Throughout all this we’ve never lost sight of providing outstanding service to our clients, 24-hours a day, coupled with the long-term development of our in-house professionals.

Whether you look at our two main Customs Clearance services separately, ie Road Freight and Deep Sea, or in combination with Harbour Shipping’s other services, we have specialist staff with a deep knowledge of their fields, years of experience and Harbour Shipping’s legendary ‘can-do’ attitude that our clients so appreciate.

A WEALTH OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Since our foundation in 1983, Harbour Shipping Ltd has offered a constantly expanding and innovating range of services to an increasingly diverse client base spread across the length and breadth of the UK and Europe. The UK’s exit from the European Union led us to adapt further still and offer yet more services to our ever increasing range of clients.

So today, in addition to Customs Clearance, we operate comprehensive European ferry-booking services for freight vehicles on all major, and most minor routes, including the UK South Coast ports, the North Sea, Irish Sea, Western Channel routes, Scandinavia, Baltic Sea and Mediterranean Sea.

We provide European toll tags and badges, with credit facilities on the transit of French, Belgian, Spanish, Italian, Austrian, German and Portuguese motorway networks and the Alpine tunnels.

 

Harbour Shipping operate from new offices opened in 2025 located on the approaches to the Port of Dover and open around-the-clock 24/7. This is staffed by long-serving experienced customer service personnel.
